Work for the welfare and protection of animals, birds etc. by providing clinics, treatment centers for the treatment of animals and birds and by educating people for their conservation, protection and awareness.
“Jivdaya & Ahinsā “ are the important tenets of Jainism that forms the cornerstone of its ethics and doctrine. It means to be utterly harmless, not only to oneself but to others as well, including all forms of life, from the largest of mammals to the smallest of microorganisms on Earth. Jainism professes equal rights for all living beings regardless of their size, shape, or different spiritual developments. No living being has a right to harm, injure, or kill any other living being, be it animals, insects, or plants.
Based on the above-mentioned ethics, the Prerna Foundation was formed on 08/02/2023 and registered at Bhavnagar District of Gujarat. In the very first meeting of the trustees, it was decided to build two hospitals for animal rescue, treatment rehabilitation and care in Gujarat. One of the hospital at village Agiyali in Sihor taluka of Bhavnagar district.
It was decided to build a state-of-the-art facility at both the locations to provide best of the treatment, care and rehabilitations of the animals in the region.
The rationale behind choosing the locations of the hospitals are based on the lack of facilities for treatment and care for the animals and birds due to being located in the interior parts of the districts.
